The successful candidate will take responsibility for maintaining, monitoring and securing the organisation’s cloud environment, which is primarily built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a combination of cloud infrastructure operations and information-security duties, including:

• Monitoring and maintaining the organisation’s GCP environment.
• Managing cloud compute, networking, storage and database services.
• Administering and reviewing Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls.
• Optimising cloud resources to support performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Providing advanced technical support for complex cloud infrastructure problems.
• Handling Tier 3 infrastructure and security incidents.
• Supporting disaster-recovery readiness and automated backup processes.
• Helping engineering teams deploy code within established software-development and CI/CD processes.
• Providing technical leadership within the organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of information-security controls.
• Collecting and maintaining evidence required for security and compliance audits.
• Performing access reviews and maintaining relevant compliance documentation.
• Supporting the organisation’s annual ISO 27001 certification requirements.
• Managing vulnerability scanning and coordinating remediation activities.
• Overseeing security patching and related vulnerability-management processes.
• Monitoring cloud-security tools, including Google Cloud Security Command Center.
• Reviewing IAM policies to support least-privilege access.

Cloud Infrastructure and Security Operations Lead Requirements

Applicants should have proven experience administering and securing cloud environments.

The employer specifically identifies Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the preferred cloud environment, although relevant experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure will also be considered.
