Warehouse Team Leader Vacancy in Polokwane

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader for its operations in Polokwane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will help coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities while leading a team responsible for receiving, picking, staging, loading and managing stock.

Key Responsibilities

The Warehouse Team Leader will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the accurate picking, staging and loading of products for outbound movements.
• Overseeing the counting, receiving and unloading of inbound products.
• Ensuring picking areas are replenished on time.
• Identifying operational obstacles and helping improve warehouse efficiency.
• Maintaining products, containers and supporting materials within required stock levels.
• Ensuring appropriate stacking requirements are followed.
• Taking action to minimise out-of-stock situations.
• Coordinating stock movement between the warehouse and production areas.
• Ensuring warehouse and manufacturing stock transactions are correctly recorded.
• Making sure daily stock counts are completed accurately and promptly.
• Investigating non-compliance and taking corrective action where necessary.

Stock Quality and Rotation

Another important part of the Warehouse Team Leader position is maintaining product quality.

The successful candidate will need to ensure that the team follows appropriate stock-rotation procedures, including First Expiry, First Out (FEFO) principles.

Team members must handle products correctly to prevent unnecessary damage or deterioration. The Team Leader will also monitor stock age, coordinate rework activities and ensure that breakages and decanting are properly recorded so that corrective action can be taken. LinkedIn

Warehouse Equipment and Safety

The Warehouse Team Leader will oversee the safe operation of company warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Warehouse Team Leader Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• A certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre.
• At least 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience coordinating warehouse employees and daily operations.
• Experience with inventory control.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Experience with order fulfilment.
