Capitec Graduate Internship Programme 2027 – Stellenbosch, Century City and Sandton

Capitec, one of South Africa’s leading banks, has opened applications for its Graduate Internship Programme 2027. The programme targets energetic, ambitious graduates who want structured workplace experience in banking and financial services, with placement at one of Capitec’s major hubs: its Stellenbosch headquarters, Century City in Cape Town, or Sandton in Johannesburg.

Rather than a shadowing-style internship, Capitec puts interns onto real business projects from the start, building problem-solving, business analysis and client-focused skills alongside experienced banking professionals.

Key Responsibilities Interns will contribute to actual business projects within their placement area, develop workplace skills including problem-solving, communication, teamwork and project coordination, and gain exposure to business operations, financial services, data-driven decision-making and technology-enabled banking.

Minimum Requirements Applicants must have:

• A Grade 12 National Senior Certificate or National Certificate Vocational.
• A completed relevant tertiary qualification, obtained within the last three years.
• South African citizenship with a valid 13-digit ID number.
• A clear criminal record and a clear credit record.
• Willingness to relocate depending on placement.

Qualifying fields include Finance, Economics, Financial Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Decision Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Management and Industrial Engineering.

Experience Required No previous work experience is required. Any prior workplace exposure is an advantage, not a requirement.
